Identify the most fundamental features of your prototype, and design very basic use-cases to demonstrate functionality in a simplified set of experiments.
As an example, imagine you are designing a virtual reality app. Your first experiment may include basic navigation and user interface, with a successful outcome defined as a user quickly being able to select the desired options. The second experiment may include more advanced processing and display, checking if the software can track the user’s hand gestures for example. Lastly, you may ask multiple users to interact with each other within the app. These simple experiments would allow you identify strengths and shortcomings in different aspects of the umbrella feature of app interactivity.
